Little Rock, AR – RPM Group/Corfac International, a leading full-service real estate brokerage specializing in commercial sales & leasing represented the Buyer in the purchase of a 277,000 SF industrial building situated on 30 acres. Rick Freeling, President of RPM Group Commercial division represented Emerson, a Missouri-based technology and engineering company, in the acquisition of the former Cherokee Frame facility in Ash Flat, AR. Freeling assisted the buyer with its site selection and negotiations. The Ash Flat location was chosen due to it's close proximity to Emerson's distribution center in Memphis, TN which is approximately 140 miles from Ash Flat, AR.
Emerson plans to open a new manufacturing facility that is expected to create approximately 245 jobs within four years. Ozarka College and Black River Technical College are also partnering with Emerson to develop workforce training programs to prepare workers for the company’s needs. Construction on the project is to begin in 2020.
